. .

They had a taste of seventies rock and met the old Blues heroes. With dust in their eyes and without fearing pop, cottonbomb have a sense for weirdness and catchieness, for loudness and sadness, for dirt and water. Out of a grey industrial world in the middle of Germany, they dream themselves to endless trips to the desert.

Being founded in February 1999 the German based band set a first end to their searching period by finding an own style called „blues core“ in 2001. After this turning point, the band started touring more intense. Until now cottonbomb played around 100 shows all over Germany.

With the release of the album „blues core” in August 2002, another big step forward was made. The band (at this time named “iridium”) also had the opportunity to win some regional band contests.

In March 2004, cottonbomb entered the studio again to redefine their own demands on quality and growth. The album “Mississippi coma” was released on whirlwind records and sets another milestone in the band’s history by developing the unique blues core sound.

After the "sessions" record "Don't worry little baby" and intense touring they got back in the studio to record another rough piece of music released 2008 on Whirlwind Records.
